Ajuri Ngelale is a Nigerian broadcast journalist and politician. He is currently serving as the presidential spokesman to President Tinubu. He was also a co-principal spokesperson of Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign council for the 2023 Nigeria presidential elections, which they won.

Ajuri Ngelale was born on November 13, 1986, in Platteville, Wisconsin, United States to a Nigerian father and a German-American mother.

After completing his studies, Ngelale returned to Nigeria in 2011 to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a program designed to involve Nigerian graduates in nation-building and the development of the country.

Ajuri Ngelale started his career as a youth corps member at Africa Independent Television (AIT), where he was deployed for his one-year national service.
Demonstrating his potential early on, he was retained by AIT as an investigative reporter, and over the years, he climbed the ranks to become a news editor, producer, and presenter from 2011 to 2016. During his time at AIT, he produced two critically acclaimed public affairs documentary series, “State of the Nation” in 2012 and “Diary from the Delta” in 2016.
In 2016, Ngelale took a significant step in his career by joining Channels Television. There, he co-anchored the popular public policy discussion program Sunrise Daily. His partnership with the United States Government’s Mandela Washington Fellowship led to the production and presentation of “Africa’s Future Leaders,” a series that documented the efforts of young African leaders uplifting disadvantaged populations.
Ngelale’s transition from journalism to politics was marked by his role as the lead media content producer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Next Level Presidential Campaign. His work contributed to the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Following their victory, President Buhari appointed him as his senior special adviser on public affairs, a position he held with distinction until 2023.
With the change of administration in 2023, Ngelale continued his political journey by serving as the presidential spokesman to President Tinubu. His role as a co-principal spokesperson of Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign council for the 2023 Nigeria presidential elections was pivotal in their victory.
