Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou gave an injury update on Friday. Captain Son Heung-min is expected to miss the game with a muscle issue. Son was injured in the Europa League game against Qarabag. He has missed Tottenham’s last two matches. Destiny Udogie should be available to play against Brighton.
Udogie came off at half-time against Manchester United. He didn’t travel for Tottenham’s Europa League game. Postecoglou said Udogie should be okay to play. The Tottenham manager said Son is unlikely to be ready in time. Son is pushing to be fit but the turnaround is too quick. Postecoglou said the other injured players are long-term absentees.
Guglielmo Vicario Pedro Porro Cristian Romero and Timo Werner may start again. Udogie and Micky van de Ven could return to the defense. Rodrigo Bentancur Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison may come back into midfield. Dominic Solanke could lead the attack. Brennan Johnson may play on the right wing. Werner could keep his place on the left wing. Mikey Moore impressed on his first Tottenham start. But he may be named as a substitute against Brighton.
Postecoglou may not want to overwork the young player. The predicted Tottenham lineup is a 4-3-3 formation. Vicario in goal. Porro Romero Van de Ven and Udogie in defense.
