Arsenal may have already completed two huge transfers that just need to be announced

Arsenal has been quiet during this transfer window. They have not signed any new players so far. However, there are reports that they are working on deals behind the scenes. Mikel Arteta, the manager, mentioned that the club is looking for the right player to improve the team. He also noted that the team has been short of players for some time and that everyone knows the situation. The club wants to do what is best for both the team and the club.

Many fans and pundits believed Arsenal would buy a striker, especially with Gabriel Jesus dealing with another knee injury. Ollie Watkins was a target, but Aston Villa rejected Arsenal’s offer. Alexander Isak was also a possibility, but his price is too high. However, it seems Arsenal may have already agreed to sign a striker who will join in the summer. The player is Benjamin Sesko. Arsenal has been interested in him for some time, and they tracked him before Euro 2024.

Sesko plays for RB Leipzig, and he has scored 14 goals and added 3 assists in 29 appearances this season. At just 21 years old, he has a lot of potential to improve. Although he signed a new deal with Leipzig last year, there is an understanding that he could leave in the summer. There is no official clause in his contract, but there is a “gentleman’s agreement” that could allow him to move. Arsenal’s interest in him is still strong, and it is possible that they have already reached an agreement with Leipzig and the player.

Another player Arsenal is working on is Martin Zubimendi. He is a midfielder from Real Sociedad, and Arsenal is looking to sign him in the summer. Zubimendi has a €60 million (£51 million) release clause in his contract. Despite interest from clubs like Liverpool, Zubimendi has stayed at Sociedad, where he has developed as a player. With both Thomas Partey and Jorginho expected to leave Arsenal in the summer, the club needs to sign another defensive midfielder. Zubimendi is seen as one of the best available options.

Although no official announcements have been made yet, there may already be an agreement in place between Arsenal, Sociedad, and Zubimendi. If that’s true, it would be a big move for Arsenal. With both Sesko and Zubimendi potentially joining in the summer, Arsenal could already have two major transfers lined up

With only a few hours left in the January transfer window, it is unclear if Arsenal will make any new signings. If they do not make any moves before the deadline, attention will shift to the summer transfer window. Fans and pundits will be watching closely to see what happens next.
