With a keen vision, Levy has sought to position the stadium not just as a football venue but as a premier destination for a variety of high-profile events.
In four years, Spurs will host matches as part of Euro 2028, a significant milestone that reflects the club’s growing prominence in the sporting world. The stadium, with a capacity of 62,850, has already welcomed numerous renowned artists, including Beyonce, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Lady Gaga, showcasing its versatility beyond football.
The venue has also gained a reputation as a key location for major boxing events. High-stakes matches involving heavyweight champions such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have drawn significant crowds, reinforcing the stadium’s status as a prime location for blockbuster events. These initiatives align with Levy’s vision of maximizing the stadium’s potential.
Levy’s ambitions extend beyond concerts and boxing. He attempted to bring the 2026 Hockey World Cup final to Tottenham, highlighting his commitment to diversifying the types of events hosted at the stadium. Over two weekends, more than 120,000 fans attended games featuring teams like the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings, as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears. The NFL, as the most lucrative sporting league globally, provides significant financial opportunities for Spurs. The club receives a hosting fee of approximately £8 million annually, along with financial support for the stadium’s construction.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell hinted that the Super Bowl could one day be held outside the United States, sparking interest in the possibility of Tottenham hosting the event. Spurs have a closer relationship with the NFL than any other football club, positioning them as prime candidates for such a prestigious occasion. Goodell stated that while traditionally the Super Bowl is held in NFL cities, changes in the landscape could allow for new locations in the future.
Hosting the Super Bowl could generate around £300 million for the local economy, making it an incredibly attractive prospect for Levy. However, hosting the event would require some adjustments, including considerations for the stadium’s capacity, which falls short of the NFL’s usual requirement of 70,000 seats. Nevertheless, the stadium’s lucrative corporate hospitality options could offset this limitation.
Moreover, with UEFA’s recent decision to remove the San Siro as the venue for the 2027 Champions League final, Spurs may also have an opportunity to bid for this prestigious event. Levy’s strategic vision and commercial acumen suggest that the future could hold even more significant events for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, blending sporting excellence with financial success.
