Arsenal finally sign £110m attacking duo in dream starting XI if January transfer rumours are true

With the transfer window closing soon, Arsenal fans are eagerly waiting to see if the club will make any final moves. The Gunners are currently chasing Liverpool in the title race and need reinforcements to strengthen their squad. Reports suggest that Arsenal could sign two major attacking players for a combined £110m. If these deals happen, here’s what Arsenal’s starting XI could look like.

Arsenal has not been linked with any defensive signings, and for good reason. The team has one of the best defensive records in the league, conceding just 21 goals in 23 games. David Raya, last season’s Golden Glove winner, remains the first-choice goalkeeper. With the solid backline of Timber, Gabriel, Saliba, and new signing Calafiori, Arsenal’s defense looks set to remain strong.

Arsenal already boasts a strong midfield duo in Rice and Odegaard, but they are set to add another key player. Reports suggest that Arsenal triggered Martin Zubimendi’s £51m release clause earlier this month. The Real Sociedad midfielder is expected to join in the summer, but there’s a chance he could arrive earlier. His signing could signal the end of Thomas Partey’s time at Arsenal, as his contract expires this summer.

With Bukayo Saka out until late March due to a hamstring injury, Arsenal has been linked with Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo. The 24-year-old winger has impressed this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. Arsenal may need to pay around £50m to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has made a surprising move for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. The club reportedly offered £60m, but Villa rejected the bid. Watkins, a lifelong Arsenal fan, might still be tempted to join if a deal can be agreed upon. However, with Villa already selling Jhon Durán to Saudi Arabia, they may not want to lose another striker in the same window.

If Arsenal secures these two signings, their attack will have more depth and firepower. With Semenyo covering for Saka and Watkins adding goals upfront, Arteta’s team will be well-equipped for the title race.
