Postecoglou acknowledged the frustration of the fans, who booed the team off at full-time. He emphasized the need for reinforcements, stating, “We’ve got work to do in getting some help with these players.” The lack of squad depth has severely hampered Tottenham’s ability to rotate players and maintain freshness throughout the season.
Despite the current predicament, Postecoglou remains optimistic about the team’s prospects. He believes that once the injured players return, Spurs can challenge for a top-four finish. “The league is still fairly tight,” he said. “At some point we will get a healthy squad and we’ll be able to perform at a high level. We’ve shown we can beat anyone.”
